Tools that change the way we think

Extensive internet/media/technology effects the way I think tremendously. I never have to worry about not being able to find the answer to something. It is so easy to pick up my phone and google it. This technology definitely keeps me entertained but it really is effecting the way I think. I find myself going to post on my blog off my phone and along the way a 15 minute assignment ends up taking me an hour because I get so side tracked checking my facebook, texting, instagraming etc. I feel like i don't pay attention to things like I should because I am always so side tracked. Yes, it is nice to be able to find the answer to a question in an instant but we really aren't being pushed to actually look up an answer. Technology and media definitely has its positives and negatives but it is a huge part of my life

Notes on Hamlet

I feel like Hamlet has changed gradually throughout the play. Hamlet went from being sad and angry due to his mother marrying his uncle. I felt for Hamlet because if I were in his position I would also be sad about my fathers death and I to would be angry at the fact that my mother married my uncle! As the play continued I noticed Hamlet starting to care less for others and him killing Polonious really made me wonder what really isngoing through his head.

"Who was Shakespeare?"

Shakespeare may be considered one of the geatest dramatists who ever lived. Since there is not much recorded about his life , many scholars base his plays off of his life. No birth records exist, church records , however; indicate that Shakespeare was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford on April 23,1564.  Scholars believe that he most likely attended the Kings New School in Stratford, which taught reading, writing, and the classics. His success began in 1588. He then became a character member of a theatrical company in 1594. In 1616 he died at 52 and was the buried at the Church of Stratford.

To Facebook or not to Facebook

I think Facebook has both positives and negatives. Facebook using your personal information to access adds that they think you might like is clever, however; if you are a young child or teenager I don't think they should be able to access your information. Personally I like facebook myself because it is easy to stay connected with your peers. I never really considered the fact that they are using my personal information. On the other side Facebook is a good place to find drama. Like the article said millions of teens are exposed to bullying everyday. On a social network like Facebook you never know what kind of people you will be exposed to. Overall, Facebook is a good way to stay connected  yet it is also a way for your personal information to be collected.

Autopsy of vocab midterm

Overall I feel like I did pretty well on my mid term! I found that taking an extra fifteen minutes everyday to study that I have a much greater chance of getting the grade I want.
